DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Radford men's golf team will officially open its fall season at the River Run Collegiate, which begins on Monday in Davidson, N.C. The Highlanders original opening tournament - The VCU Invitational - was cancelled due to playing conditions from Hurricane Florence.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The tournament will feature 54 holes over two days. The event will begin at 9 a.m., on Monday morning with a shotgun start to kick off the first 36 holes. Following the first two rounds, the final round will tee off at 8 a.m., on Tuesday at holes No. 1 and 10.
RAIN CHECK
Radford opened its season in Richmond, Va., at the VCU Invitational early last week. The team was able to play a portion of the first round, but the tournament was cancelled after it began raining heavily on Monday morning.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Radford is poised for a great fall in 2018. There are four upperclassmen returning for the Highlanders in Ben Ramsey, Peter Gasperini, Ryan Ahrens and Tyler Olinger. Gasperini is the leading returner of the group with 26 rounds played last season. Along with the four upperclassmen are seven underclassmen. Hunter Duncan also had 26 rounds played as a freshman last season and was on the Big South All-Freshman Team.
UP NEXT
Radford will relax for two weeks before traveling to Clinton, S.C., for the Musgrove Mill Intercollegiate Match Play hosted by Presbyterian.
