Moran, Jennings Named Big South Runners of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Following their record-breaking performances at Live in Lou Saturday, Hannah Moran and Nate Jennings were named female and male Runners of the Week by the Big South Wednesday afternoon.

Moran continued to excel on the season, following up a pair of victories with an 8th place finish out of 399 runners Saturday. Her time of 16:48.7 also took 40 seconds off of the previous school record over 5K. This is the second time on the season Moran has earned a Runner of the Week nod from the conference.

Jennings earned the honor for the first time on the season on the heels of shattering the school record in the 8K. His finishing time of 24:43.6 not only marked the first time in Radford history that a runner had broken the 25-minute barrier, but knocked 36 seconds off of the previous record from 2006.

Moran, Jennings and the Highlanders will compete one more time on Oct. 15 before gearing up for the Big South Championships in High Point, N.C. on Oct. 29.
