CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Wednesday morning that Chloe Wellings has been named Women's Runner of the Week after placing ninth in the Covered Bridge Invite.

Running against nationally and regionally ranked teams, Wellings found herself placing among some of the best runners. Her time of 17:34 earned her the fourth place in Radford's 5k All-Time Top 10. She now holds the second and fourth position in this category. The team came in third place behind Florida State and Wake Forrest. 

Wellings also earned 12th place in her previous meet at the Virginia Tech Invite taking the fourth spot in the 4k record book. Wellings can be seen along with the rest of the women's team September 30th at the Adidas Invite.
