CHRISTIANSBURG, Va – The Radford swimming and diving team fell to Virginia Tech, 175-110, and College of Charleston, 210-87, Saturday morning at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
Freshman
Jessica Frazelle continues to impress as she clocked in at 57.08 in the 100 yard freestyle, while junior
Colleen Miller touched the wall sixth in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.93.
All three divers recorded top 10 finishes on the three-meter board with
Katie Shaffer finishing sixth scoring a 218.60, while freshman
Skye Hickling and
Alex Poletti finished seventh and eighth with 195.30 and 165.50 total points, respectively.
"This was the toughest weekend on our schedule other than conference, and our girls showed the type of resilience that will create a great foundation for our championship meet,” commented fourth-year head coach
Randy Jarman. “As a coaching staff, we could not be more proud of our girls."
The Highlanders will enjoy a two-week break before traveling to Old Dominion Saturday, Oct. 30.
